Unscheduled filesystem check on [NL4]
Users on NL4 alpha are probably seeing issues with their sites at the moment. This is because our admins had to start an unscheduled fsck of the server. Once the system finishes this check — in roughly 30 to 90 minutes — all sites on the server should recover.
We’ll let you know what’s going on as things progress!
Update – Sept 1th 14h00pm: Filesystem check found inconsistencies and is repairing them, so while this will not take days and days and days, it may be a few more hours. We apologize for the inconvenience, and will get you back up and running as soon as possible.
Update – Sept 1th 17h45pm: Unfortunately, this is taking longer than expected to complete. There’s not much else we can do until the fsck is complete so that data doesn’t get corrupted. We will update this post as soon as it is finished.
Update – Sept 02th 9h00am: Well, we started the rebuild currently, cPanel will be installed and site restored and we hope to get it setup by the afternoon.
Update – Sept 02th 13h00pm: Hello, as we talk the service as been restored, we will announce a small maintenance windows to within a couple of week for this servers since it might return on read only mode.

over 10 hours now for me. Since its out of your control does that mean it could be days or longer??? Those two links don’t mean anything to me?
@Monica, We have remote backup server in two location every account on this server are backup nightly at least 1 time a week and the backup server itself are backup also weekly in case of any data lost we have your account backup.
@Ken, Yes exact time should be since 12:11 pm around 10 hour from now, those wiki link where to explain more to you what the meaning of FSCK (file system check) currently there no staff available on our offshore datacenter, we are waiting news since they need to reboot manually the linux servers and “hit” enter to continue with the reboot via keyboard on site. They are usually on-site around 3HAM (EST) then the server will comeback as normally in worst case we will completely rebuild new raid array and restore backup from our servers.
We will keep you updated via this notice as soon we got news from our datacenter engineer on-site in netherlands.

I’m getting an “Internal Server Error”, does this mean you guys still working on the server or is there something on my site that needs to be reconfigured?
@TB Yes, we we’re able to use the second partition on RAID, but this is not safe as the server dosen’t run on RAID at the moments, so another announced maintenance this time will be announced to completely fix issue with it and reinstall RAID properly.
@Peter S: Thank you for your patience and understanding, we need some rest now i’m online since about 28 hour to fix the servers.

I’m not complaining or anything, this is only my first experience with downtime with UH., so it’s no big deal really. I was only wondering if there was something that needed to be done on my end.

@Mark If your account are suspended this have nothing to do with the maintenance it simply because your account has been suspended prior the downtime. Contact our abuse team via ticket to get it fixed
Thanks for getting back, but it is not true that my account was suspended prior to the server problem u have again, this has happened during the crash.
Very curious on what the team is going to answer why my account has been suspended and why I have not been informed when u guys take this kind of action.
